This duster is named after Idlib, a region that became a destination for families displaced from other parts of Syria. Over the course of the war, people from Aleppo, Homs, Daraa, Ghouta, and many smaller towns were evacuated here. Idlib grew into a dense gathering of lives - different accents, different pasts, all adjusting to a shared present. Camps spread across hillsides. Schools were held in tents or repurposed rooms. Markets re-formed wherever there was space. Daily life continued through improvisation: bread baked in communal ovens, clinics set up with whatever tools were available, teachers holding lessons at plastic tables. Idlib is remembered not as a single narrative, but as a place where many displaced communities lived beside one another, making life work. This duster carries that sense of many threads gathered together - distinct pieces held in one place, forming something whole.
