Item #311-12 Hohner Marine Band 1896 Key of C No Box Included Price: $495.00   Adam Gussow’s Notes: Moderate wear Bend covers plates Gap 5 draw out Poor This Marine Band 1896 in the key of C is a real beauty.  There are so many signs of heavy use by Sonny.  There is no question that he loved this harp.  The covers are tarnished.  The backs of the covers have been crushed by his powerful hands.  There is a slight ding over the 10 hole on what would be the top cover for you and me, but was the bottom cover for Sonny since he played upside down.  Probably due to being dropped more so that being crushed by his hands.  There is a slight gouge in the back of the comb.  The front of the comb has the finish worn off around holes 1 through 6.  It is clear that Sonny spent most of his time on the bottom end of this harp.  One of the covers is slightly loose at one end.  This is easily repairable if you so desire.  This is a real gem.   In addition to the actual estate harmonica, all purchases
