7 x 11'4 nomadic Baluch Rug
A very distinct 1880s Baluch! This baby truly shows off its age, history and style. This is an old village rug, Baluchi tribe members hand weaved this amazing piece, and Baluch rugs stand out to collectors and rug enthusiasts for their distinct look and rarity. What makes this truly rare is that Baluch rugs are woven 99% of the time in 2x4 or 3x5 size as they are nomadic wool rugs that the tribe members would travel with. We feel very lucky to have found 2 of these sizes in the last 3 years of antique rug hunting! Hand knotted with vegetable dyed wool on a wool foundation. It is all natural, real deal and an original! It has a gorgeous ground color that will vary slightly due to lighting. The amazing touch of blue of the large medallions throughout is stellar! It is low pile with beautiful scattered wear. Please see pics. We recommend a rug pad to keep this baby in place and we will custom cut it for you and send it with! here is the link for it. https://www.shopblueparakeetrugs.com/co
