Autonomous Underwater Vehicle The Barracuda AUV® is small and light. It can be broken down to fit into a standard sized duffle bag and can be reassembled in about 5 minutes. Its small size and weight also makes it easy to launch and recover by hand and so it can be launched and recovered from the shore or from a small boat. This greatly reduces the logistics chain required to use the AUV. In its basic configuration the Barracuda AUV is marketed for about half the price of AUVs of similar size. The flexibility, maneuverability, and affordability of the Barracuda AUV design makes the vehicle the sensor platform of choice for commercial and government organizations The Barracuda AUV® is completely modular.
