A truly sharp chisel edge requires two perfectly flat, polished faces—but most chisels don’t come that way. They typically need hours of sharpening, honing, lapping, and polishing before they’re ready for serious work.  Blue Spruce Chisels eliminate that hassle and comes with top of the line preparation. Surface ground, lapped and polished to an unmatched level of performance. Perfectly sharpened is a great first step, but how does it hold its edge? Each chisel is machined from A2 tool steel, then double-tempered and cryogenically treated. The tempering and cryo treatments result in an incredibly fine grain structure and a hardness of Rockwell C-60 to C-62. These chisels take and hold an edge like no other. Bench Chisel blades extend 4-1/2" beyond the ferrule. The standard chisel handles fit most hands comfortably for both mallet work and delicate paring cuts.
