Chisel Plane
Detail those tough-to-reach areas of your projects with the new Blue Spruce Chisel Plane. We took a simpler approach compared to traditional chisel planes. The face of the iron acts as the sole of the plane (instead of bedding an iron at an angle to a separate sole). You'll never struggle to align the cutting edge to the sole or have to adjust the depth of cut. It's similar to using a razor-sharp paring chisel, except there's no handle to interfere with your cut and the elevated grip gives you a mechanical advantage. Like Blue Spruce chisels, the iron of the Chisel Plane is ground from cryogenically-treated A-2 tool steel. The flat side is surface ground, lapped and polished to a flatness unmatched in the industry. The bevel is expertly ground and hand-honed to a perfect cutting edge. You have your choice of a square blade or a spearpoint blade that sneaks into the tightest corners. Whether you're shaving the ends of exposed tenons, cleaning up dovetails or removing glue squeeze-out,
