Amphiboles form as long prismatic crystals, radiating sprays and fibrous aggregates; forms mostly depend on the iron content. This particular piece has several shades of darker red and reddish orange, with accents of white/cream and golden orange in very interesting patterns. Several areas have a great example of the "sprays" visible and close to the surface and you can feel the textures as you run your fingers over them. Clear Quartz surrounds the Amphibole inclusions.
