Linguica Sausage Available in links only 2 long links per package Avg. 1.25 lbs. per package Reg. $8.99 per pound Description Linguica originates in Portugal, but is also common in Spain and Brazil.  It’s a coarse ground, lightly smoked pork sausage flavored with smoked paprika, garlic, red chilies, and red wine.  It is a leaner sausage with distinctive flecks of coarse ground fat.  It is often a component of hearty stews like the Brazillian Feijoada, or as a pork component of Portuguese fish stews, but I remember best from breakfast cafes along the California coast where it was served in scrambles or simply grilled and served on a bun with roasted peppers. Ingredients Pork, salt, red wine, pimento, dextrose, cure, black pepper, cayenne, and garlic.  No gluten or preservatives. Contains nitrites, not fully cooked.
