Campsis radicans Trumpet Vine is a deciduous vine with orange, trumpet shaped flowers that are produced in the summer. Trumpet vine suckers very aggressively underground and will resprout in different areas of the yard or lawn. Vines should be thinned throughout the growing season to prevent aggressive spreading. Trumpet vine should not be planted near natural areas where they could spread or in other areas where they cannot be maintained.  Though native to North America, Trumpet Vine, or Trumpet creeper, spreads quickly and climb on fences, trees, or other tall objects.
