His strength lies in his ability to create designs that are beautiful, functional, and full of character and joy. He wasn’t afraid to play with color and form, bringing a sense of creativity and fun to everything he did.Stig made his mark on the international design scene with an exhibition in New York in 1957. In 1959, he gained recognition in Japan through an exhibition at the SEIBU department store and has been celebrated ever since, both in Europe and beyond. Ekelund is a Swedish, environmentally certified family business with local production dating back to the 15th century. Their collection of textiles are some of the finest woven table and kitchen linens we’ve found and reflect the taste and style of the Scandinavian good life. Established in 1692, the Ekelunds have been purveyors to The Royal Court of Sweden for over a century. All articles are woven at the old family mill
