The Dakota Lithium 24V 5A charger is specifically designed to trickle charge large 24V batteries at a steady rate of 5A (amps) per hour. Dakota Lithium has tailored this charger for use with their lithium iron phosphate batteries, also known as LiFePO4 or LFP. It is not suitable for charging lead acid or SLA batteries due to its high power output. This 5A charger has the capacity to charge a 24V 10AH Dakota Lithium battery in less than 2 hours, or a 24V Dakota Lithium 50AH battery in less than 10 hours. It is compatible with all Dakota Lithium batteries wired in series to create a 24V LiFePO4 lithium battery. For optimal performance and lifespan, all Dakota Lithium batteries should be charged using a LiFePO4 compatible charger like this one. Using SLA chargers may decrease the performance and lifespan of the battery.
