Gourd Basket Elm & Cedar

Natural gourd basket made from Cedar bark, tied with Rattlesnake Master and Basswood. It stands 10 inches tall and is 8 inches in diameter at its widest point. Ellen grows and processes all of the natural materials needed to create her woven and gourd art forms. From small, hand-painted owls, to large gourd baskets, her work is subtle, but exquisite. She uses plain weave, twill and herringbone weave-structures, among others in her baskets. Her gourds are cleaned and sealed with lacquer. Handmade in America, in Foristell, Missouri.
