It has a strong, fresh, camphoraceous scent.    Our Handcrafted Artisan soaps are all made with skin loving ingredients. Rich Oils and Butters and Sodium Hydroxide. All soaps have Lye! That’s how soap is made. During saponification, the chemical reaction between the lye and other ingredients forms soap. That chemical reaction changes the lye so that it's no longer present. Hence our soaps must cure for 4-6 weeks.  Saponification is the process in which triglycerides are combined with a strong base to form fatty acid metal salts during the soap-making process.
