Scotch Bonnet Freeport Orange - (Capsicum chinense) Scotch Bonnet Freeport Orange originated from Freeport, Bahamas.  It is very similar to the Bahamian Goat.  As with most Scotch Bonnets they have a similar heat level as a Habanero.  They have a sweet floral flavor with a slow burn that hits the back of your throat.  The peppers are bonnet shaped usually with 3 to 4 lobs and some come to a tiny point.  They ripen from green to an Orange-cream color.  Plants are extremely productive and can reach around 3-4 feet tall. Heat level:  150,000 to 300,000(SHU) Scoville Heat Units – Very Hot. Flavor:  Sweet Fruity & Floral.
