A striking octagonal porcelain charger from Japan’s Meiji period (1868–1912), signed underfoot in cobalt with “Dai Nippon Kutani” — a hallmark of Japan’s proud export era. The charger features eight raised, everted panels finely hand-painted with floral brocade motifs, framing a central panoramic landscape of a seaside village rendered in deep blue, with touches of Imari-style red. The charger measures 16 5/8" in diameter and comes mounted for wall display. Wear is minimal, with slight scuffs and surface nicks consistent with age and handling. A superb blend of artistry, imperial export ambition, and enduring aesthetic value Free U.S. Shipping
