French Roast

Coffee was discovered in Ethiopia, and ever since, everyone’s had their own idea of how to roast it best. By the 19th century, coffee had made its way to Europe, where distinct roasting styles emerged—giving us French Roast, Italian Roast, and plenty of strong opinions. (Blonde roast? That’s another story—one more about marketing than tradition.) Bongo’s take on a classic French dark roast is bold and full-bodied, with deep, smoky richness and subtle notes of black walnut.
