Marathon™ I Lite

Marathon I Lite is the most advanced dwarf tall fescue . It represents the latest release in a fifteen year progression of breeding development. Marathon I Lite is denser, darker green, finer leafed and slower growing than previous generations. It can be mowed shorter resulting in a more compact carpet-like appearance. Its slower growth rate results in significantly lower clipping yield which, in turn, lowers disposal volume. Mowing frequency may also be reduced, particularly during cooler seasons. Marathon I Lite contains “Shortcut” which is our proprietary variety developed through a cooperative research program.
