“While the trees stood still, and the stars shone bright, the New Beginning began in a stable, one holy night”. This is one of my most favorite paintings ever. It transcends time and place for me, and I hope that it will connect all people’s hearts everywhere, every day of the year.  I can almost hear the whisper of ‘Welcome baby Jesus’, echo across the valley. I can imagine the tall pines smiling with joy. I can imagine the angels announcing the good news to the Shepherds, that the Great Shepherd had just arrived. I can imagine that the stars had never ever shone that bright.
