Winter Jasmine (Jasminum nudiflorum) is native to China, and valued for its winter blooming period. At our growing grounds in California they bloom starting in mid-January, about the same time as Ume (Japanese Apricot). This makes them a great species for winter bonsai shows, or winter cheer in your garden. As a bonsai these are slow to make large trunks but ramify easily, even absent cutback. The arching shoots can be cut back to one node to encourage a tighter growth pattern. Flowers appear in pairs. Leaves are tri-lobed and about 1-1.5" across. Tree - About 7" Pot - About 2"
