Strawberry Pretzel Pie

Close your eyes and picture a family picnic from back in the day. Let your mind wander over to the dessert table. Ah, there it is: the perfect (though sometimes weird) concoction of pretzels and strawberries. Now in the 80s, some picnic goers showed up with the weird jello salad creation with the whipped topping and pretzels being held together by a little bit of jiggly, but we went with the classic pie version. Specifically, a cream cheese ice cream with strawberry jam threaded throughout, a little whipped topping for airy texture and of course, layers of buttery, salty pretzel crumble.
