OSTRICH EGG with white ring base - Sold 12/1/19 # 5013

We imported cases of these from South Africa in the late 1900's, thought we were sold out and just discovered a forgotten half case with 7 left. Each has a 3/4" hole on the bottom where the contents were removed. A traditional wedding gift (fertility symbol) or birthday/hatching day) gift that is always marveled at and appreciated by people of all ages from grandkids to grandparents. Hand buffed to a lustrous finish in our shop.  Great for scrimshaw, carving or painting.  Approximately 6" tall and weighing 10 ounces, these are as thick as fine porcelain, incredible that a baby ostrich can get out of it!  With white ring stand/base-$29.
