While thin and soft to the touch, reindeer leather, sustainably raised and naturally tanned by the indigenous Sami people, uniquely packs incredible durability due to the animal's resistance to temperatures within the Nordic circle.  In turn, your neck will be shielded from the wind, rain, and cold without being weighed down by traditional cowhide or left unprotected by fabrics that tend to slouch and fall away from your helmet. The snaps allow you to customize the gaiter's amount of coverage and can even be worn over an existing fabric gaiter or scarf for extra warmth. It is recommended to rotate the snaps to the side or back of your neck for ultimate protection against the elements.
