Landsknecht Tudor Shoes for men and women were worn by Swiss & German mercenaries and became a fashion sensation all over Europe.  Great for Renaissance Fairs, Theater, and Historical Reenactments. The footwear dates commonly from 1480 to 1540 during the late medieval period and into the Renaissance, late 15th and early 16th Century.  Common names for Landsknecht's shoe are bear paw (if the shoe was cut and slashed), cow mouth or cowmouth, and Kuhmaul. This shoe is very similar to those worn by the Swiss Guard at the Vatican. In paintings, Henry VIII is seen wearing Landsknecht Tudor Shoes.  Product Details: New Shape as of April 2019, more toe room!
