To the south – Cabernet Sauvignon, the west – Merlot, leaving Petite Verdot, Malbec, and Cabernet Franc at our vineyard entrance. My reputation as a winemaker was born from my early Bordeaux blends, winning the Amateur Sweepstakes Red in 1992 at the Sonoma County Harvest Fair.
