Producer: Domaine de l'OrielRegion: Alsace, FranceVarietal: Gewurztraminer Year: 2019  Winemaker Notes:  "Aromas include honeydew melon, white grapefruit, pear, Red Delicious apples, pineapple, papaya, cherries, honeysuckle, jasmine, and gardenia.  Flavors include pear tart, apple pie, cantaloupe, and peach compote.  There is a medium to full body, perfect balance and acidity, and a very long medium to full finish.  It seems like there is a touch of sweetness on the finish but knowing the producer well, I feel that what is really being perceived is the richness of the very high quality fruit that he grows each year.  Such fruit also provides a really powerful expression of Gewürztraminer that will be loved by Gewürz fans but which might be a bit too expressive for others."  Alcohol: 12%   *Price and availability in store may vary.
