A blue agave plant takes 8 to 12 years to reach its peak harvesting age, from there the pinas are collected and sent into stones and underground ovens. Extracted juice from the cooked agave is the first product of tequila. Later the juice is filtered and distilled in the distillery for clean and clear silver tequila.
