Bow Staves, Eastern red cedar

New stock as of March 2021. Superior cedar staves for traditional bow building. Each tree was hand selected and sustainably harvested from the bow builder's private forest land. Tree diameter was approximately 12". I personally identify a tree with minimum twists and knots to produce a quality bow. Each stave was hand split to ensure the grain was followed and not compromised. Stave length is between 66"-68" and 3"-4" in width. Staves were cut beginning of March 2021.The staves are READY for bow building. I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE using a backing with eastern red cedar. The English longbow displayed is one I hand crafted from the same supply of staves with a rawhide backing. It is 68" from string groove to string groove. It is 57# at a 26" draw length. The width is 1 1/4 " at the widest part of the limb and tapers to a 1/2" at the string groove. The narrowest portion of the handle is 1" wide.
