Superior hickory staves for traditional bow building. Staves are floor tillered and heat treated resulting in a slightly reflexed stave that provides a "head start" on your bow project.Stave lengths are between 66"-72" and 2"- 3" in width. Staves were cut in the spring of 2022.The staves are READY for bow building. No need to chase a growth ring, the backs are ready to layout with your personal bow pattern. I have successfully built static recurves, flat bows, longbows and take-down longbows from the stock being advertised. Each tree was hand selected and sustainably harvested from the bow builder's private forest land. Tree diameters range between 12"- 19", allowing you to begin with a flatter surface area ensuring a durable bow. I personally identify a tree with minimum twists and knots to produce a quality bow.
