Yellowstone River - Spring Fly Box
Fish the Yellowstone like you know it — because now you do. The Yellowstone River Spring Fly Box is hand-curated specifically for the conditions, hatches, and trout behavior you'll encounter on the Yellowstone from April through early June. Spring on the Yellowstone means big water and nymphing. Runoff from the Absaroka Range pushes flows dramatically, but savvy anglers work the edges and side channels for hungry trout. This box is built around the Yellowstone's spring hatch calendar — midges, BWOs, and early stoneflies. Every fly was chosen with nymphing slower water along the edges and in back channels in mind, giving you exactly what you need to match what the fish are eating at this time of year. What's in the box: 36 flies total — 18 unique patterns, 2 of each — covering heavy stonefly nymphs, BWO emergers, midge patterns, and egg patterns. No filler. No patterns that don't belong on this river in this season. Pro tip from the water: The inside bends and back channels away
