Yellowstone River (YNP) - Spring Fly Box
Fish the Yellowstone like you know it — because now you do. The Yellowstone River Spring Fly Box is hand-curated specifically for the conditions, hatches, and trout behavior you'll encounter on the Yellowstone inside Yellowstone National Park from late May through June. The river opens July 1 inside the park, but spring conditions shape what works when the season begins — high, cold water, pre-runoff windows, and fish that are hungry and less pressured than at any other point in the season. This box is built around the Yellowstone's spring hatch calendar — Skwala stoneflies, March Browns, blue-winged olives, and midges. Every fly was chosen with nymphing through cold, high water and targeting the brief early-season dry fly windows in mind, giving you exactly what you need to match what the fish are eating at this time of year. What's in the box: 36 flies total — 18 unique patterns, 2 of each — covering Rubberleg nymphs, stonefly patterns, BWO dries, and midge rigs. No filler. No patter
