The term "OB" stands for "Orange Blotched," indicative of its unique color pattern. This cichlid boasts a vibrant red phenotype, complemented by contrasting shades that can range from black, blue, orange, yellow, to white in males. Females typically display a more subdued palette of black and silver. Not native to Lake Malawi, this hybrid species is recognized for its vivid colors and peaceful nature, making it a favorite among aquarium enthusiasts.
