The Story Behind the Picture Alpine Holiday is an image I captured in Vail, Colorado, one winter afternoon while walking through Vail Village.  Part of the charm of this beautiful ski village is the European architecture that feels so like Switzerland or Austria.  I have loved its charm since I was a young girl reading "Heidi".
