There is an overwhelming amount of conflicting information regarding plant species and subspecies. Gah! At the time of our research we concluded that there were 11 genera within the Pine Family (Pinaceae). We've listed these eleven with both common and scientific names (and used the scientific when there was only one accepted species name within the genus).
