Help Bear Bring Brave Gowns to His New Hospital For Brain Cancer Awareness Month Every May, our family picks a mission to help raise awareness for the 5,000 children that will be diagnosed with brain cancer every year. Bear was diagnosed with brain cancer at six-months-old. Brain cancer is now the leading cause of cancer related death amongst children. We need to do more to find a cure and raise awareness where we can. This year we want to fill Children's Hospital of Alabama with Brave Gown. There are almost 400 children hospitalized at CHoA at any given time, so our goal is to raise 400 Brave Gowns. One Brave Gown for every child currently hospitalized.
