Lips
"Lips" Acrylic, permanent markers on paper. 2022. 16 x 20" $150 This piece is a bold feminist abstract work that draws parallels between our lips that you can see and the one's down below (that are usually less visible to the public.) I painted this abstract out of frustration - the same day Roe v. Wade was overturned. I felt that what men felt and said and ultimately decided to be true mattered more than my own body and what I KNEW to be true. That it is mine, and I want to be able to make any decision I can to protect myself. Despite the frustrating meaning of this abstract, it's a beautiful vivid piece that would bring color and subtle sense to a room. It's not apparent that the painting portrays vaginas until you look up close and study it. At that point, the painting becomes a conversation starter. Room Vibes: Oceanic, feminine, vivid. Girly with more earthy tones. Lake blues and flowers. A conversation starter, "Actually, this painting is of vaginas and lips, and the artist pa
