Antique Art Nouveau Brooch 18k Gold Foliage Peridot French 19th century (6566)

Antique Art Nouveau brooch. 18k gold and peridot. Made in France late 19th to early 20th century (circa 1895-1910).   Measurements: Approximately 6cm or 2 1/4 inches long. Weighs 5.9 grams.   Description : Strong openwork foliate design with little clusters of berries. The center is a peridot, with a marvellous deep green color that adds to the feeling of autumn or winter alluded to by the berries and scattered leaves. Very well made and conveys a smart, finished and elegant look.   Secure C-clasp.   Marks: French hallmarks on the pin.   Condition: Good with minor wear commensurate with age and use.
