Antique Victorian pendant locket. 18k gold, diamonds, onyx, silver. Made late 19th century - circa 1880's - 90's. Measurements: Weight is 30.6 grams. Length is approximately 2 1/2 inches (a little over 6cm). Description : Exceptionally beautiful and elegant pendant locket. Carved from timeless, polished black onyx, the locket is a large, rounded oval. It is suspended via links from a bow surmount, which could be removed and there is a large loop at the top of the locket from which to suspend it. The bow with double gold, large loops, making it possible to thread a large chain or ribbon through them. The bow and the face of the pendant are pave set with rose-cut diamonds. The diamonds follow the shape of the ribbon of the bow. On the pendant, they form a botanical design of exquisite delicacy with tiny flowers and foliage gently arching over the surface.
