ABOUT TEN (X): In the early years, we brewed one small batch and hoped that every barrel that got filled came out good enough to be a part of the beer. It was nerve wracking to make sure we both had enough and that it was of quality. With the expansion, we started to be able to brew A LOT bigger batches of these beers. We developed a few different base beers that would go into barrels and we got to start picking the best blends that highlighted qualities we were after. One of these base stouts is DMEX, which is usually for, you guessed it, Doublemex. When we tasted the DMEX barrels last year, we had a specific blend that was a perfect expression of beer, barrel, and time. We thought, this deserves to shine on its own, without added adjuncts. That, dear reader, is being released as Ten (X). Composed of an imperial stout aged in Heaven Hill and Lux Row barrels, X has a rich dark chocolate and almost coconut-esque profile to it, like a mounds bar in liquid form. It finishes with a smo
