It is a well-designed single-dose grinder that uses a tilted base and bellows to minimize retention. It is built with a sturdy aluminum body and features 40mm stainless steel conical burrs with 8 points (same as version 2 of the SD40). In contrast to other grinders within its price range, which often have higher levels of retention and plastic construction, this grinder has minimal retention and is mostly constructed with metal.
