Portal Chore Coat
The Portal pieces came from a desire to push myself, past my own comforts. And to expand my craft. This work took me over 70 hours to complete, hand stitching one bead at a time. It was a labor of love and born from a place of looking inward and trusting the process. May they be a reminder to keep moving forward, to offer yourself curiosity about what’s next, and to trust whatever may come - knowing you are headed in the right direction in your life. Hand beaded with Japanese glass beads on leather. Sewn onto a deadstock vintage German Ecru HBT work jacket from the 1960s. Made of a beautiful cotton herringbone twill fabric in ecru, which is a very rare color especially in this deadstock condition.
