Sage (Purple)

Perennial herb that, similar to common sage, tastes like rosemary and pine with a touch of citrus. Well-suited for cooking and also popular as an ornamental semievergreen plant. Also prized for its dusky purple foliage that mature to a silvery-green color with spiked lavender-blue flowers that bloom in early summer.Prefers full sun. Grows best in well-drained soil. Tolerates dry conditions - water as needed and do not overwater. Prune to 6 inches in early spring to encourage growth. Grows 18-30 inches tall and 18 inches wide.USDA Zones 5-10
