Maple Wood Scoop

Our maple wood scoop is inspired by Japanese ladle designs and features a modernized, tapered bowl that dips easily into coffee, pasta, grains, snacks and other dry goods. The convex bottom gives the bowl a floating appearance while resting. An elongated handle reaches into deep containers.  Hours of workmanship distinguish this item - the two parts crafted separately until combined with precise mortise and tenon joinery. The bowl is briefly lathe-turned, then undergoes detailed adjustments to balance the weight and angle of the bowl to the extended handle. Finishes include contouring accents to reflect light. Food safe finishes protect from stains.
