Briggs B3834 WDI Fill Valve

The Briggs B3834 fill valve comes complete with the gasket, nut, and replenish tube. This fill valve will fit multiple Briggs tanks, including the 4143, 4142, and the 4140. To install the fill valve the first step is to shut off the water supply to the toilet. Once the water is turned off you will need to disconnect the supply line from the bottom of the existing valve. You will then loosen the nut at the bottom of the fill valve and remove the valve from the tank. Before installing the new fill valve it is extremely important to flush the stop out. You can do this by placing the end of the supply line into an empty bucket, and turning the water on. Let the water run for a few seconds, and then turn it off, and back on. It is recommended to repeat this step at least 2 to 3 times to insure there is no debris in the stop. If the stop is not flushed the debris will flow directly into the new replacement, which can damage the internal seals of the fill valve. After the stop has been flushed you can place the new valve into the tank, and secure it with the nut provided. The final steps would be to connect the line, and turn the water supply back on.
