Newcomer Experience Six Week ASCA Aligned School Counseling Small Group

This 6-week newcomer experience small group is designed to help students adjust to life in a new country. This curriculum includes everything you need to run a successful school counseling small group including self-assessments to make data tracking easy. The included weekly outlines are aligned with CASEL Standards and ASCA Mindsets and Behaviors. First generation and newcomer students will celebrate their culture, define their strengths, and set goals for the future. They will identify people in their support system, learn strategies for dealing with potential trauma and discuss how to handle lifestyle changes and missing loved ones.
