Hexagonal Frag Mounts composed of Xport-Ca. Maximizes use of available space in coral culture systems while also maximizing the growth rate potential of coralline algae. Hexagonal shape maximizes use of available surface area in grow out systems (better utilization of space than frag plugs or discs with circular or radius shapes to the glued surfaces). Can monitor growth rates at a glance due to fluorescent coloration of the bonded area is over grown with new coral tissue. Average surface area of 500,000 ft2 per cubic foot for colonization by beneficial nitrifying bacteria. Made in the USA.
