The scalloped undulations in the profile of the tree looked like something that we wanted to print 2D. We selected a few sections and printed from the bookends to show how different one piece could be from the next even from the same tree a few inches apart. We intend to sell these as a pair to pay homage to the process.  Each tree ring print is prepared and printed by hand in a small limited edition based on the number of growth rings/years, in this case approx 40. The wood is prepared by first sanding, torching, dampening and repeating until the growth rings are raised enough to print. Tree g
