Join us on Saturday, November 2nd from 10-1pm for an introductory upholstery clinic where you'll transform your own furniture piece with guidance from veteran seamstress Peggy Kujawski. This hands-on class will teach you the basics of upcycling furniture through upholstery. Here’s what you’ll learn: Project Approach: Understand how to evaluate upholstery projects, assess their complexity, and plan an effective workflow. Material Selection: Learn how to choose the right fabrics, padding, and other materials to ensure comfort, durability, and aesthetic appeal. Tool Mastery: Familiarize yourself with the essential tools used in upholstery for precision and efficiency. Students are required to bring their own tools; a list will be provided once a photo of your project is submitted. Available tools include pneumatic staplers, or you can bring your own needle-nose pliers, staple removers, flathead screwdrivers, scissors, or staplegun.
