Class Description Learn basic metalsmithing skills and jewelry making techniques in this introductory 8 week class. Get to know the studio and become familiar with the tools and equipment in this hands-on course. Students will explore the foundations of metal work including sawing, filing, forming, and soldering, as well as discussing the components of jewelry design. No previous experience necessary. Beginners welcome. Class size 4 – 12 students. Proof of Covid-19 vaccination is required to take this class. Masks are required to be worn for all studio work. Kits can be purchased online and picked up at the first class. All students receive a 50% discount on hourly and daily bench rentals throughout the duration of their course.
