The couple George and Kathleen Lutz and their children move into an idyllic country house in the town of Amityville on Long Island, only to discover that their new home is still occupied and possessed by their demonic previous tenants. Night after night, the dream house turns into a ghostly nightmare: Horrific noises rob the residents of their sleep, red-hot eyes of the dead stare through the window, the walls sweat blood and the basement seems to hide a terrible secret.
