Advanced Energy Design Guide for Small Office Buildings
This is the first in a series of documents designed to provide recommendations for achieving 30% energy savings over the minimum code requirements of ANSI/ASHRAE/IESNA Standard 90.1-1999. This guide focuses on small office buildings of up to 20,000 square feet which make up the bulk of the office space in the US. These recommendations will allow those involved in designing or constructing small office buildings to easily achieve advanced levels of energy savings without having to resort to detailed calculations or analysis. All of the energy-saving recommendations for each climate zone are contained on a single page, thus facilitating the Guides use. Additional recommendations point out other opportunities to incorporate greater energy savings into the design of the building.
